47th National Assembly of Bulgaria

Seven parties are set to enter the 51st Bulgarian National Assembly, according to data from a national survey funded and conducted jointly by bTV and "Market LINKS." The survey was conducted among 1,014 individuals aged 18 and over between October 15-20, utilizing face-to-face interviews and online questionnaires.

The new government of Bulgaria is merely a continuation of the previous one, according to Tsoncho Ganev, the deputy chairman of the "Revival" party, who expressed a lack of trust in the newly formed administration during an interview with BNR. One major concern highlighted by Ganev is the appointment of the new Minister of Internal Affairs.

The Central Election Commission (CEC) has announced the mandates for the parliamentary parties in the 50th National Assembly of Bulgaria. GERB will have the most deputies, with a total of 68. The second-largest parliamentary group will be the DPS with 47 deputies, followed by "We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria" (WCC-DB) with 39.

General Atanas Atanasov, leader of the Democrats for Strong Bulgaria (DSB), announced his intention to seek a vote of confidence from the party during its upcoming national assembly. Atanasov conveyed this message in a Facebook post, marking his first public statement following the recent elections.

The upcoming composition of the 50th National Assembly projects GERB to secure 80 seats, a slight increase from their current 69. Conversely, the WCC-DB alliance is anticipated to experience a decline, dropping from 64 representatives to 55 in the subsequent parliament.

In the run-up to Bulgaria's National Assembly elections, a recent Gallup International survey conducted for BNT has unveiled intriguing insights into the political landscape of the country. The survey, carried out between March 28 and April 5, canvassed 805 adult Bulgarians, providing a snapshot of voter sentiments as the nation stands on the cusp of pivotal political decisions.
