European police have been placed on high alert, following reports that 15-year old Younes Abaaoud, brother of Paris mastermind terrorist Abdelhamid Abaaoud, has left Syria and is on his way to Belgium to avenge his older brother’s death. Younes has been described as the youngest jihadist fighter of ISIS in the media.

French interior ministry mistakenly identifies man as terror suspect

A photograph of a man named as terrorism suspect Reda Kriket, which had been distributed by the French interior ministry and widely circulated in the media, has turned out to be a case of mistaken identity, a French news show reported this week.

The photograph shows a young man with close-cropped hair and stubble who is not, in fact, Reda Kriket, Le Petit Journal reported.

Map of Brussels airport found in Abdelhamid Abaaoud’s hideout in Athens

Various diagrams and a map of Brussels airport hit by terrorists on Tuesday were found on computers and USB sticks at an apartment located at Pagrati area in Athens, Greece, as TV station SKAI reported.

The apartment was used as a hideout of the ringleader of the Paris terror attacks, Abdelhamid Abaaoud, until January 2015.

The Belgian authorities have charged a ninth person in connection with last month's deadly Paris attacks, the prosecutor's office said Dec. 24.

A spokesman said the suspect had telephoned Hasna Aitboulachen, the cousin of ringleader Abdelhamid Abaaoud, several times after the Nov. 13 attacks and before a police raid five days later in which they both died.
