Tashfeen Malik and her husband Syed Rizwan Farook. who gunned down people at a holiday party for a health center in San Bernardino, California, were affiliated with ISIS. They killed 14 of Farook’s co-workers and injured another 21 people, resulting in the belief that the killing spree was a work-related gripe.

IS Claims Responsibility for San Bernardino Shooting

Islamic State (IS) militants claimed responsibility for the shooting in San Bernardino in southern California on Wednesday, which claimed the lives of fourteen people and left 21 injured.

Militants of IS described the two perpetrators, who stormed a Christmas party at the county department of public health as "supporters" of the terrorist group.

ISIL leader's freed ex-wife wants to come to Turkey

Al Qaeda's Syrian wing, the Nusra Front, released 16 Lebanese soldiers and policemen held captive since August, 2014 on Dec. 1 in a Qatari-mediated deal that also secured freedom for a jailed ex-wife of Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, who said she wished to come to Turkey. 

Iraq air force hits convoy of ISIL leader Baghdadi: statement

The Iraqi air force struck a convoy of Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in western Anbar province close to the Syrian border on Oct. 11, a military statement said. 

The fate of the militant leader, who has declared himself the leader of a caliphate in areas his ultrahardline Sunni group controls in Iraq and Syria, is unknown, the military said. 

US air strike kills 'ISIL number two': White House

The second-in-command of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) has been killed in a US air strike in northern Iraq, the White House said Aug. 21.
 
The National Security Council identified the slain militant as Fadhil Ahmad al-Hayali, also known as Haji Mutaz, and said he was ISIL leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi?s senior deputy.
