Municipality takes action to evict police from Amydaleza
The Municipality of Acharnes in eastern Attica has begun procedures to evict Greek police from a piece of land in the area of Amygdaleza which currently hosts police academy facilities and a detention center for undocumented migrants.

Unidentified robbers targeted ATMs in two parts of Attica in the early hours of Tuesday morning - the southern suburb of Glyfada and Acharnes, north of Athens, fleeing with an undetermined sum.

Police seeking Attica ATM gang
Police said on Friday they are searching for a gang that has been blowing up ATMs around Attica in recent months and fleeing with the cash contents after another attack earlier in the day in the Acharnes district of western Athens.
According to police reports, the gang members blew up a cash machine on Dekeleias Avenue at around 4 a.m. and made off with an undisclosed amount.

Safe deposit gang suspected in robbery using sledgehammers
The so-called "safe deposit gang" apparently struck again early on Wednesday morning in the suburb of Gerakas in eastern Attica, police said.
According to reports, six men entered a building housing a marketing company at the intersection of Komotinis and Imathias streets at around 3.30 a.m. and used sledgehammers to break through a wall into an office in an adjacent building.
Two Roma teens arrested as Athens police smash mugging racket
Police in Acharnes, northwest of Athens, announced over the weekend that they had smashed a violent mugging racket that has been operating in the area, arresting two youths from the local Roma community, aged 13 and 15, while another two suspected accomplices remained at large.
