Record number of vehicles cross Osmangazi Bridge: Minister
A record number of 80,624 vehicles crossed the Osmangazi Bridge on July 8, Transport and Infrastructure Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu has said, stressing that 43,301 vehicles crossed the bridge on July 4 alone.
Türksat 5B satellite to come online next week
Türksat 5B telecommunication satellite will be put in service next week on June 14, Transport and Infrastructure Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu has announced.
"After a five-month journey, Türksat 5B reached orbit on May 17. Performance and orbit tests were conducted successfully. Now it is time to put the satellite in service," Karaismailoğlu said.

Over 560,000 people visit Çamlıca Tower
More than 560,000 people have visited the Çamlıca Tower in Istanbul since it opened on May 21, 2021, Transport and Infrastructure Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu has said.
Situated on a hill in the Üsküdar district overlooking Turkey's largest city, the hi-tech communications tower has the capacity to air 100 FM radio broadcasts at the same time.

Turkey aims for over 16,700 kilometers of railway by 2023
Turkey aims to have laid 16,775 kilometers (10,423 miles) of the railway as of 2023, the 100th anniversary of its republic, the Turkish transport, and infrastructure minister said on June 5.
The current length of railway in the country is 12,803 kilometers (7,955 miles), Adil Karaismailoğlu told journalists in the central province of Yozgat.
Minister promises Black Sea city locals area ‘will not be damaged’ amid protests
Turkey's Transport and Infrastructure Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu has promised locals who have been protesting against the construction of a stone quarry in the Black Sea province of Rize's İkizdere district that it will not be damaged after weeks-long protests.
During a visit to İkizdere, Karaismailoğlu assured the locals that the forested area will not be damaged.
Turkey offers help to resolve Suez Canal blockage
Turkey offered Egypt to send the Nene Hatun vessel to help its operations in reopening the Suez Canal after a massive container ship ran aground, Transport Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu told private broadcaster NTV on March 26.
"We have offered help, and we'll send aid if they come with a positive response," he said.

Turkey to launch 5A satellite next week
Turkey plans to launch a communication satellite on the night between Monday and Tuesday next week, the country's transport and infrastructure minister announced on Dec. 30.
Following the Turksat 5A satellite, the country will also launch another communication satellite, the Turksat 5B, in June, Adil Karaismailoğlu announced in Turkey's Black Sea province Ordu.
