The 44 year old man accused of the murder of the 54 year old surveyor in Neo Psychiko has been sent to prison with the agreement of the investigator and the prosecutor.

The contract killing of 54-year-old surveyor Panagiotis Stathis is estimated to have cost up to 100,000 euros, according to officers directly involved in the investigation of the brutal murder in Psychiko.

An investigation is underway into the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman whose body was retrieved from a well near Agrinio, western Greece.

The body of the 58-year-old woman was found in the village of Kyparissos on Monday after relatives alerted the authorities.

Police and six firefighters attended the scene and retrieved the body.

The traffic accident occurred on the national road Karpenissi-Agrinio at Kalesmeno location
