Turkish Airlines CEO claims ticket prices will drop with Istanbul's new airport

Turkish Airlines CEO Temel Kotil has said ticket prices will drop once Istanbul?s under-construction new airport is completed. 

?We believe our costs will decline when the third airport is completed and this will lead to slashed ticket prices. Declining oil prices have already positively affected ticket prices,? Kotil said. 

Turkish Airlines' passenger traffic hits 28.5 million in first half of year

Turkish Airlines, Europe?s fourth-largest carrier, has announced it carried some 28.5 million passengers in the first six months of the year, an 8.5 percent increase over the same period of the previous year, in a written statement to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) on July 14.
