Tragic Bus Accident in Turkey Claims Six Lives, Injures 25
Six individuals lost their lives, and 25 others sustained injuries when a bus overturned this morning on the Ankara-bound highway in Aksaray province, Turkey.
The injured passengers were promptly taken to a hospital for first aid. An investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the accident.
Exhibition opens at historical mound
Aşıklı Mound has turned into a dialogue between art and archeology through the works of 13 Turkish and international artists. The exhibition "Lines of Site," which opened on Feb. 4 at the Historical Hüsrev Kethüda Bath, can be visited until Feb. 25.

Woman with brain surgery to be revived
A "revival" project is being carried out on a woman's skull, which was discovered in 1989 during archaeological excavations in the Aşıklı Mound in the Central Anatolian province of Aksaray and is believed to have undergone the first brain surgery in history.

Turkey brings back nationals abroad amid COVID-19
Turkey brought back 777 of its nationals from Morocco, Algeria, Italy, and the U.S. early on April 25 as part of its ongoing repatriation efforts.
It is working to bring back nearly 25,000 citizens for the Muslim holy month of Ramadan who have been stranded abroad because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
