Albanian President Bujar Nishani made the decision to allow the President of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo Ramush Haradinaj to acquire the citizenship of Albania, Pristina media reported.

Nishani issued the decree on Haradinaj's personal request.

Beside him, the citizenship will also be able to acquire his wife Anita Mucaj.

Ramush Haradinaj's brother and member of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo Daut Haradinaj continued with threats saying that Belgrade should know that it will receive the same answer as in 1999 and that it should not play with Ramush Haradinaj.

Member of Kosovo Assembly Daut Haradinaj, brother of the leader of Alliance for the Future of Kosovo and former Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, said that there will be not a Serb in Kosovo, if Ramush is extradited from France to Serbia.

BERLIN, Jan 9 (Tanjug) - The French court's decision on the fate of Alliance for the Future of Kosovo leader Ramus Haradinaj depends on whether Serbia's extradition request will include new charges he has not been tried on at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, says Christian Tomuschat, an expert on international law.

The Kosovo Assembly in Pristina on Tuesday held an extraordinary session dedicated to the arrest in France of Ramush Haradinaj.

After 11 hours of debate, the Assembly failed to adopted either of the two draft resolutions tabled on this subject.

Ramush Haradinaj will again appear before a French court on Thursday, his lawyer, Arian Koci, has been quoted as saying.

Albanian-language media in Pristina are on Monday quoting Koci as saying that his client, the leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, "could be released on bail, but without the right to leave France."

Alliance for the Future of Kosovo leader Ramush Haradinaj claims that the media reports about him being "a crime and arms smuggling boss" are untrue.

Haradinaj took to Facebook to say that the allegations were the work of "criminal associations from Belgrade and Pristina, whose mentors are in Moscow."

Political observers in Kosovo predict the likely end of a "united" opposition in the country after two opposition parties drafted a cooperation agreement without the presence of the third, the Vetevendsoje [Self-Determination] movement.

Opposition politicians in Kosovo have repeated their demand for early elections, saying this alone will solve the country's acute political crisis.

Rexhep Selimi, an MP from the opposition Vetevendosje [Self-Determination] movement, said the government had lost its legitimity and even its legality.

Ahead of the election of a new President of Kosovo, opposition parties have urged their supporters to gather in front of parliament, where they have been sleeping in tents as part of their campaign to force the government to resign.
