Ramush Haradinaj to acquire Albanian citizenship

Albanian President Bujar Nishani made the decision to allow the President of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo Ramush Haradinaj to acquire the citizenship of Albania, Pristina media reported.

Nishani issued the decree on Haradinaj's personal request.

Beside him, the citizenship will also be able to acquire his wife Anita Mucaj.

Haradinaj is currently in France, without the right to leave the country. The Court in Colmar is still making the decision on Serbia's request to extradite Haradinaj on charges of war crimes committed during the Kosovo conflict.
