Bar not high in Mitsotakis, Erdogan talks

Expectations are low ahead of Tuesday's meeting between Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.

Türkiye set to sign another long-term LNG deal this week

Türkiye is expected to sign another long-term liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply agreement this week during Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar's visit to the U.S.

Bayraktar is scheduled to attend the Gastech Exhibition and Conference in Houston, Texas, which will take place between Sept. 17-19.

Energy policies yielding results in boosting local production: Bayraktar

Türkiye's National Energy and Mining Policy is yielding results in reducing the country's dependency on imported energy and boosting local production, Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar has said.

Speaking at a gathering in the province of Osmaniye, the minister recalled the policy document was unveiled in 2016 and said: "We started to reap its fruits."

Botaş signs long-term LNG supply deal with Shell

Turkish state energy company Botaş has signed a 10-year LNG supply agreement with Shell, with deliveries set to begin in 2027.

"Under this agreement, approximately 4 billion cubic meters of LNG will be delivered annually, totaling 40 billion cubic meters over the contract period," Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar said.

Türkiye sees fresh daily gas, oil production records this month

Türkiye has logged a fresh record in daily natural gas and oil production this month, Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar has announced.

On Aug. 15, the country's daily natural gas production hit 7.6 million cubic meters, while daily oil production reached 107,621 barrels, Bayraktar said.
