Swiss glacier yields bodies of missing couple after 75 years

The frozen bodies of a Swiss couple who went missing 75 years ago in the Alps have been found on a shrinking glacier, Swiss media said on July 18.

Marcelin and Francine Dumoulin, the parents of seven children, had gone to milk their cows in a meadow above Chandolin in the Valais canton on Aug. 15, 1942.

'The Lobster' nabs Best Screenplay at Los Angeles Film Critics Association awards

"The Lobster" has nabbed Best Screenplay for Greek writers Efthymis Filippou and Yorgos Lanthimos at the Los Angeles Film Critics Association 2016 awards.

Starring Colin Farrell and Rachel Weisz, "The Lobster" is also directed by Lanthimos ("Dogtooth," "Alps"), hailed as a leading proponent of the so-called Weird Wave of cinema.

Scientists have successfully replicated the ‘best approximation’ of the ancient man’s deep Stone Age voice. Using CT scans, they recreated the mummy’s vocal cords, throat and mouth, allowing them to digitally produce what may have been Ötzi’s vowel sounds. That way, the famous mummy  who hadn’t spoken a word after meeting a violent death 5,300 years ago, finally broke his silence.

This is what The Lobster, the new film directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, asks on the occasion of its premier at British cinemas.

The film shows people taken to a hotel where they have to find their mate in 45 days. If they fail to do it, they will be taken to a room where they will be turned into an animal and released into the woods.
