WSJ: Jihadists Pass Through Bulgarian-Turkish Border to Join IS

In an article published on Sunday, The Wall Street Journal pointed to Bulgaria as being one of the weak spots through which Jihadists from Europe pass on their way to join IS in Syria and Iraq.

Apart from the more loosely guarded border between Bulgaria and Turkey, Jihadists also often choose the daily ferries between Turkey and Northern Cyprus.

Paris jihadists believed to have met night before attacks

French investigators believe they have established that the jihadists who struck Paris last month were in direct contact before the attacks, a security source said on Feb. 18.        

Phone records appear to show that Cherif Kouachi and Amedy Coulibaly met the night before they started three days of violence in and around Paris on January 7.

Charlie Hebdo killer Cherif Kouachi buried near Paris

Cherif Kouachi, one of the two brothers who killed 12 people in an attack on France's Charlie Hebdo magazine, has been buried in an unmarked grave near Paris under tight security, the local mayor's office told AFP.
      
Kouachi was buried late on Saturday at a cemetery in Gennevilliers, where he used to live, officials said.        

Belgian Police Thwart 'Major', 'Imminent' Terror Attack, 2 Suspects Killed

Belgian police announced they had thwarted a major terror attack on Thursday.

Counterterrorism police raided a town east of Brussels on Thursday, killing two terror suspects and arresting a third one in a shootout.

The operation in the eastern town of Verviers was part of a crackdown on Islamic extremists returning from Syria, according to reports of CNN.
