Erstwhile real estate mogul and TV reality star Donald Trump not only takes Manhattan – by surprise – but the rest of America as well, becoming the nation’s 45th president following a neck-and-neck race as Republican Party presidential nominee against Democratic Party rival, Hillary Clinton.

BELGRADE - Vice-chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee in Serbian Parliament said that victory of Republican Party nominee Donald Trump in the US elections is likely to signify more peaceful US foreign policies and better US cooperation with the East, Russia in particular.

BELGRADE - The US foreign policy is based on national interests and I do not expect it to change significantly as regards Serbia, US Ambassador to Serbia Kyle Scott said Wednesday.

The relations with Serbia were not mentioned too frequently in Donald Trump's election campaign, Scott told the RTS.

BELGRADE - Trump has won 276 electoral votes, becoming the 45th president of the United States. His rival Hillary Clinton, the Democratic Party candidate, did not concede the election from her headquarters in New York.

Addressing his supporters, Trump said that his counterpart Hillary Clinton has fought hard. He also confirmed that she congratulated him on victory.
