AIA arrival caught with 1.45 kg of cocaine
A 36-year-old foreign national tried to smuggle 1.45 kilograms of cocaine through Greek customs at Athens International Airport on Tuesday.
The man, who had swallowed the drug in 34 small packages, flew into Athens from Sao Paolo in Brazil via Rome.
He appeared before an Athens prosecutor later in the day.

Drug racket unraveled in Athens
Another drug racket operating in central Athens was unraveled by police Thursday.
Four foreign nationals - three Albanians and a Tunisian - aged between 27 and 63, were arrested in the neighborhood of Aghios Panteleimonas on charges of running a criminal gang and drug dealing.
Police said the gang was also active in the neighborhoods of Amerikis Square and Victoria.

Police arrest 28 in Athens-area drug sweep
Sweeping police raids Monday and Sunday in the area of Amerikis Square in Athens led to the arrest of 28 drug-dealing gang members, all foreign nationals.
The raids were the culmination of a months-long investigation and police said they are looking for another 11 suspects.

Major police operation in Athens to smash drugs racket
A maior police operation was under way in Athens on Monday aimed at cracking a large drug trafficking racket.
Officers had arrested 28 suspected members of the racket by noon.
The ring is believed to have focused its operations around the city center and Amerikis Square.
