Djokovic through to Paris Masters quarter-finals

PARIS - Serbia's Novak Djokovic, the current world number one in men's tennis, has reached the quarter-finals of the Paris Masters tournament by beating France's Gael Monfils 6-3, 7-6 (7-2) late Thursday.

Continuing his domination against Monfils, Djokovic claimed his 11th victory in as many matches against the Frenchman.

In a bid to reach the final, Djokovic will face the winner of the match between Roger Federer of Switzerland and Kei Nishikori of Japan.

NEW YORK - Serbia's best tennis player Novak Djokovic beat Britain's Andy Murray in the exhibition match in New York late on Monday, 6-3, 7-6 (7-2).

The match was played in the Madison Square Garden Hall within the celebration of World Tennis Day.

Other exhibition matches were held in London and Hong Kong.
