Anger

Obnoxious annoyance

Every day, thousands of citizens feel that their privacy, the sanctuary of their home, is being violated when they receive annoying and insistent calls from sundry companies promoting their products and services.

An honorable man treated dishonorably

It is truly sad to witness a man who faithfully served the judiciary for four decades, a man who is not a politician yet responded to the nation's need for rescue by taking the helm of an interim government at one of the most critical moments of Greek history, speaking from the podium in Parliament with tears in his eyes.

You reap what you sow

Any tangible expression of anger in Greece, however extreme it may be, is usually described with the more palatable term of "intervention." Rather than calling a spade a spade, authorities are going for a more innocuous term.

Old tricks don't work

The country's leftist-led government has the bad habit of blaming anything negative on its predecessors. At the same time, when things get tough, when people's anger is boiling, they choose to slip beneath the radar.

Phase four: Depression

Many wonder why there is such an air of apathy, almost speechlessness in Greece society today. Nothing seems capable of making people angry - or excited for that matter. Most people are simply irritated and on edge because they are struggling to survive in a country where you literally have no idea what tomorrow may bring, especially when it comes to anything related to the state.
