An eco-militant organization calling itself the Animal Liberation Front (MAZ) claimed responsibility for the fire that broke out last week at an egg processing plant in Neochorouda, Thessaloniki.

Police in central Athens removed animal rights activists from Syntagma Square as the Good Friday candlelit Epitaphios (funerary) procession was taking place.

As the procession entered the square, a small group of activists approached the clerics and held placards stating "There is no excuse for animal abuse" and chanted slogans "against the slaughter of animals".

The Australian Standards Bureau upheld four complaints that the image of four naked women, showing their bottoms, was “pornographic in nature”. The ad campaign was to promote positive body-images on behalf of UK-based cosmetics retailer Lush.
