COVID-19 in Bulgaria: 257 New Cases in the Last 24 hours

The new cases of infection with coronavirus for the past 24 hours in Bulgaria are 257, and one patient with a diagnosis of covid has died, according to the data of the Unified Information Portal.

During the past 24 hours, 1,807 tests for coronavirus were performed, of which 14.2 percent were positive.

Slovenia enters autumn wave of Covid-19

Ljubljana – Slovenia has entered the autumn wave of coronavirus infections, which is projected to peak in mid- or late October, modelling expert Janez Žibert of the Ljubljana Faculty of Health Sciences has told the STA. More than 2,500 people tested positive for coronavirus on Monday, which Žibert says indicates the country has entered a new, autumn wave of Covid-19.

Covid case count keeps falling

Ljubljana – Slovenia reported 1,260 new cases of coronavirus for Thursday, a decline of 5% from the figure the same day a week ago. Two patients with Covid-19 died, Health Ministry data shows. A total of 79 patients were hospitalised for Covid-19 as their main condition, including eight in intensive care. The figures are down from 90 and ten, respectively, reported a week ago.

Health minister tests positive for COVID-19

Health Minister Fahrettin Koca has announced that he has tested positive for COVID-19, in a latest social media post.

Koca said he tested positive for coronavirus five days ago and affirmed that he will continue to work on the recent regulation on health workers' rights via online meetings.

"Soon, I will be among my friends," the minister said.

COVID-19 in Bulgaria: 777 New Cases in the Last 24 hours

The new confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria for the last 24 hours are 777, it is clear from the new data published in the Unified Information Portal.

5,635 tests were performed, which means that the share of positive results is 13.8 percent.

Three patients with confirmed coronavirus infection have died.
