A teacher in the capital Ankara strives to instill a love for animals in students who inflict violence on stray dogs with a social awareness project she initiated.

Lamb for the Easter holidays will cost between BGN 25 and BGN 29 per kilogram. The exact price will depend on the cut. Simeon Karakolev, co-chairman of the National Sheep and Goat Breeding Association, stated this on the Bulgarian National Television.
He assured that the price of lamb this year will remain almost unchanged and if there is an increase, it will be minimal.

Armed forces’ search dogs awarded for rescuing 78 people
Search and rescue dogs, dubbed the "silent heroes," of the Turkish Armed Forces have been awarded for saving the lives of 78 people from the rubble following the deadly Kahramanmaraş-centered quakes that ripped through Türkiye's south last month.

The president of the Respect for Animals Association, Susana Mustafi, explained that the people who found the dog contacted the organization via Facebook on Tuesday evening.
Where eagle owls nest
The eagle owl (Bubo bubo) is Slovenia's largest owl. Its population in the country counts some 150 specimens. Many of them nest in the western region of Kras and enthusiasts taking part in the most recent monitoring there registered a record 16 nesting sites.
