The pagers used in the coordinated explosions in Lebanon yesterday were manufactured by a Hungarian company, according to a statement from the Taiwanese firm Gold Apollo. Gold Apollo revealed that it has a "long-term partnership" with the Budapest-based company BAC Consulting, which produced the specific model involved in the attacks.

A recent announcement by the Taiwanese company initially thought to have manufactured the pagers adds a new dimension to the ongoing thriller regarding who made the devices that turned into bombs against Hezbollah fighters.

Hundreds of Hezbollah members were injured on Tuesday afternoon in a suburb of Beirut and other locations in southern Lebanon after the explosion of their communication devices (bomb detectors).

Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip killed 16 people early Monday, according to Palestinian officials. The strikes also targeted Hezbollah launchers and military infrastructure sites in southern Lebanon, with the Israel Defense Forces confirming the destruction of 20 launchers.

Experts will this week resume a risky operation to salvage the Sounion tanker which was attacked by Yemen's Houthis in the Red Sea last month and still holds about one million barrels of crude oil, maritime sources said on Thursday.

The initial “storm” of approximately 20 rockets targeted the northern Golan Heights, with the Israeli army noting that “all rockets fell in open areas.”

Israel would consider a pre-emptive strike on Iran if it had solid evidence that Tehran was preparing to launch an attack against it, Israeli media reported after Benjamin Netanyahu meets with Israel’s security chiefs this afternoon on Sunday.

 The U.N. expressed "grave concern" Tuesday over an Israeli strike on a densely populated suburb of the Lebanese capital Beirut that killed at least three people and injured 74 others.
