18th Thessaloniki Documentary Festival opened on Friday, March 11 (video)

The 18th Thessaloniki Documentary Festival scheduled to last from March 11 till March 20, opened its doors to all the movie lovers on Friday. The premiere took place at the ‘Olympion’ cinema on Aristotelous Square, and the themes in the vast documentary and film line up will be heavily influenced by the pressing and tragic issue of our day, the refugee crisis.

Doctors of the World build Christmas tree made up of the milk of love

Doctors of the World set up Christmas trees of milk at three points around Greece – Thessaloniki (Aristotelous Square), Athens (Athens Uni, Panepistimiou Street) and Crete (Chania).

Citizens helped build a tree of evaporated milk cans as part of the medical charity’s Christmas campaign.

Collection for flood victims in Serbia, Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina to take place in Thessaloniki

Skai media group and its charity organization Oloi Mazoi Boroume are putting together a new collection of emergency aid material for victims of floods in Serbia, Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina. The collection is scheduled to take place on Aristotelous Square in Thessaloniki, northern Greece, on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
