Seventh-grader Kaloyan Geshev from Sofia's 125 SU "Boyan Penev" school has once again showcased his remarkable talent in speed calculation, clinching the title of three-time champion in mental math.

New changes to the Criminal Code that affect drunk driving come into effect today. Ownership of the car will be proven - whether it is owned by the driver or the employer. The driver of a car, who was driving under the influence of narcotic substances, will also be detained.

The Bulgarian National Bank has issued (17th September) the fifth entry in a series of coins entitled "Medieval Bulgarian Rulers," which has been issued intermittently since 2011. The latest coin features the Bulgarian ruler Ivan Asen II (circa. 1193-1241) who became emperor of the Bulgarian lands in 1218 and ruled until his own death in 1241.
