Kutiman | Athens | May 15
Israeli musician and composer Kutiman is bringing his full band to the stage of the French Institute in Athens (ifa.gr) for a show that is part of the municipality's Athens City Festival (cityfestival.thisisathens.org). Along with his latest hit "My Everything," Kutiman will present new work and older favorites such as "Inner Galactic Lovers" and "Music Is Ruling My World."

Turkish Art Week opens at London’s famous gallery
More than 100 works by Turkish artists delighted culture lovers at London's famed Saatchi Gallery on Oct. 26.
As many as a thousand guests were welcomed by organizers to the inaugural Turkish Art Week, featuring works by prominent artists from Turkey, Azerbaijan and North Cyprus.

Dog waits for sick owner in front of hospital
A dog named "Boncuk" has been waiting in front of a hospital in the Black Sea province of Trabzon where its owner has been getting treatment for a week.
"The dog comes here every day at around 9 in the morning, waits until the evening, and then leaves. It never comes inside, but waits for its owner [outside]," said Muhammet Akdeniz, a security at the hospital.

State Theaters asked to call off rehearsals, performances
Non-governmental organizations of art institutions have released statements and asked the cancelation of rehearsals and performances following the death of the State Theater's (DT) stage and costume designer Ali Cem Köroğlu because of COVID-19 at the age of 62 last week.

Days of Korean Culture kick off in Bucharest
The Days of Korean Culture festival starts today in Bucharest, comprising tasting traditional products, workshops, exhibitions and film screenings. The event runs throughout November 28. According to the Embassy of Korea, the series of events begins with the fourth edition of the K-Lovers Festival, which takes place on Friday and Saturday.

Marinade paste withdrawn from shelves after glass found
Greek food authority EFET on Tuesday issued a warning and a ban against a specific batch of a marinade paste product that was found to contain slivers of glass.
The ban is directed specifically at Lot Number 811170 of the Pasco Tandoori Marinade Paste that comes in a 270 gram jar, with a best-by date of 30.11.2021.
The Red Line | Athens | January 12 - February 4
The Art Zone 42 gallery in Athens is hosting "The Red Line" from January 12 to February 4, in which 34 Greek artists explore the idea of the Red String of Fate, a Chinese belief that the gods tie an invisible red string around the ankles of people who are destined to meet, through paintings, sculptures and photographs. Opening hours are Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Year of the fiery Monkey
Today is the start of the Chinese New Year, which happens to be a Monkey year. According to the 12-year cycle of animals in the Chinese zodiac, the Year of the Monkey occupies the ninth place, this one being the year of the Red Fire Monkey. The cycle not only depends on animals, but also on the five elements of wood, fire, earth, metal and water.
