British scientist killed by fall, expert says
A 34-year-old British scientist who was found dead at the bottom of a steep ravine on Wednesday on the eastern Aegean island of Ikaria, most probably died as a result of a fall rather than foul play, an expert said on Thursday.

No Fyli dump extension
No extensions to the capital's overloaded main landfill at Fyli in northwestern Athens are planned, according to the general secretary of Attica's Solid Waste Management Authority (EDSNA), Yiannis Drivas.
Speaking to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA-MPA), Drivas said that work will be carried out to increase the landfill's capacity, rather than an outright extension.

Heads of state-run media resign
The head the state-run broadcaster ERT and ANA-MPA news agency, Giannis Drosos and Michalis Psilos, respectively, submitted their resignation to government spokesman Stelios Petsas on Tuesday.
Petsas asked Drosos and Psilos to remain in their posts until the procedure to replace them has been completed.

North Macedonia changes name of army
North Macedonia changed the name of its army to abide by the provisions of the Prespes accord, the deal signed with Greece last year to end a decades-old dispute over the country's name, state-run news agency ANA-MPA reported Thursday.
The country added the adjective "north" to become the army of the Republic of North Macedonia.

Toddler falls off balcony in Corfu
A two-year-old toddler who fell off a balcony in the district of Petriti in Corfu on Friday was rushed to hospital, state-run news agency ANA-MPA reported.
Speaking to the news agency, the manager of the island's General Hospital, Fivos Kakavitsas, said the doctors had not yet assessed the state of the boy's health and did not know why he fell.

Bulgarian climber dies of injuries sustained on Mount Olympus trail
A 25-year-old Bulgarian climber died while scaling Mount Olympus on Monday, state-run news agency ANA-MPA reported.
The man was injured and trapped at the trail near Kofto, at an altitude of 2,300 meters. He was rescued by fellow climbers who transferred him to the Zolota refuge and from there he was airlifted to AHEPA hospital in Thessaloniki.

Stournaras warns against additional benefits, says investors on edge
