BSMEPA and Bulgarian E-commerce Association Discussed their Partnership Opportunities

Contact points in the activities of Bulgarian e-commerce association and Bulgarian Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Promotion Agency were discussed by representatives of the two institutions during a meeting today. The talks were attended by the Executive Director of BSMEPA, Dr. Boyko Takov and Mr. Nikolay Bakalov, a member of the Board of BEA.

Bulgarian PM Expresses Support for Director of Defence Information Service

Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov expressed on Monday his support for the director of the Defence Information Service - Yordan Bakalov.

Bakalov has reportedly submitted his resignation after the parliament approved amendments to the Military Intelligence Act last week which introduced new requirements for the holder of the position.

Human error is the most likely cause of the deadly blast in the Midzhur explosives factory in the village of Gorni Lom, which killed 15 people on October 1, said caretaker Interior Minister Yordan Bakalov.

Bulgaria IntMin Proposes Fines for Municipalities over Floods

Caretaker Interior Minister Yordan Bakalov said Monday sanctions could be imposed on municipalities failing to carry out prevention activities against floods and other disasters.

In an interview with the Bulgarian National Television, Bakalov explained he had sent a letter to municipalities last week to urge them to clean riverbeds and sewage infrastructure.

Тhe first group of people involved in vote buying has been busted, Bulgaria's caretaker PM Georgi Bliznashki announced, Tuesday.

"We need to mobilize all available resources, to carry out preventive activities, to identify persons found to have been involved in buying votes in elections held in Bulgaria in the last five years," Bliznashki said as cited by BGNES.
