An official visit to Qatar will be made tomorrow, Tuesday, December 17, by the Minister of National Defence, Nikos Dendias.

It was announced that as part of his visit to Doha, the Minister of National Defence will have a private meeting with his counterpart and Deputy Prime Minister, Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan bin Hassan bin Ali Al Thani.

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has held discussions with United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in the capital Abu Dhabi.

Qatari Deputy Emir Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani met with Turkish Defense Minister Nurettin Canikli on March 12 in Qatar’s capital Doha, according to Qatar’s official QNA news agency.

First Deputy PM and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic received on Friday Ambassador of Qatar to Serbia Mubarak bin Fahad Jassim Mohammed Al Thani.

Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdurrahman al-Thani arrived in Ankara for talks with the Turkish leadership, after a recent attempt to resolve the ongoing dispute between his country and major Arab powers failed. 

Al-Thani first met with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu on Sept 12 before being received by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Qatar has said that the demands put forward by four Arab states were "made to be rejected" and once again denounced them as an infringement on its sovereignty. It also said it does not fear any retaliatory measure that could follow its refusal to comply with the demands.

A ship carrying 4,000 tons of food for beleaguered Qatar left Turkey early on June 22, marking a change in how essential supplies are being sent to the tiny Gulf state.
