A Tunisian soldier opened fire on colleagues at a military base in the capital Tunis on May 25, killing an officer and two others and wounding 15 more before being shot dead himself, Tunisian authorities said.

Tunisia has asked Italy to extradite a Moroccan suspected of involvement in the deadly attack on the Bardo museum in Tunis in March, the interior ministry said May 22.

The Islamic State group has claimed responsibility for for the deadly attack at the Bardo Museum in Tunisia's capital.

23 people were killed in Wednesday's attack, including 18 foreign tourists, five Tunisians and two gunmen, according to an announcement of Health Minister Said Aidi.
