President Erdoğan calls 'all' to abide by truce in Aleppo

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has called on "all parties and the international community to abide by" the Turkey-brokered truce in Aleppo on Dec. 16, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.

On his official Twitter account, Erdogan wrote Friday: "The Turkey-brokered truce in Aleppo and the continuation of evacuations is the only hope left for innocent people. 

Evacuation from east Aleppo suspended: Syrian official

The evacuation of people from eastern Aleppo was suspended on Dec. 16, with a witness quoted by Reuters hearing at least four blasts at a location from which buses had been departing.

A state-run Syrian TV station reported that rebels had breached an agreement with the government by trying to take prisoners with them during the evacuation.

First convoy of patients starts to leave east Aleppo

The first convoy of people requiring medical attention started to leave rebel-held east Aleppo, private broadcaster CNN Türk has reported.

The convoy began a journey which will take patients through government territory into the rebel-held western Aleppo countryside as agreed in an evacuation deal this week.
