The Serbian Ministry of Defense has announced that a large quantity of weapons and ammunition is missing from a Belgrade Garrison depot.

A statement on Thursday added that this was discovered during a regular check of the facility.

The Serbian Ministry of Defense on Monday denied the reports that said Serbian Army soldiers are taking part in a military exercise in western Ukraine.

Soldiers from 17 countries are participating in the exercise, the Beta news agency is reporting.

KRUPANJ - The Battle of Mackov kamen, the bloodiest in World War I, is remembered for two historical and civilisational concepts - one aimed at taking what belongs to someone else, and the other at defending what is one's own, Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic said on Saturday at a ceremony marking the centenary of the battle.
