What kind of properties do Greeks prefer?
Greeks prefer to rent a small, up to 20 years old, apartment, according to a nationwide survey from the real estate service RE/MAX. Rents dropped in Athens but continued to rise in Karditsa and Volos. The same prices have been observed in Thessaloniki, Syros and Mykonos.

Greek businessman T. Liakounakos at Korydallos prison for alleged bribe-taking
Greek businessman Thomas Liakounakis, arrested at his upscale Filothei-Psychiko residence on Monday on charges of bribery and money laundering, was sent to jail pending trial following his 7-hour inquest hearing with investigative magistrate on corruption, Vassilis Bratis.
Italy's Cudin wins Spartathlon
Italian runner Ivan Cudin won the 245.3km historic Spartathlon race on Saturday for a third time, clocking 22 hours, 29 minutes and 29 seconds.
Cubin, 39, fourth last year, also won in 2010 and 2011.
Finishing second for a second year in a row was Germany's 30-year-old Florian Reus in 23:57.13 while 33-year-old Andrzej Radzikowski of Poland was third in 25:49.05.

Emergency aid collections for Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina flood victims
Skai media group and its charity leg Oloi Mazi Boroume are organizing collections of emergency aid material for victims of floods in Serbia, Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina. The charity efforts are being organization in association with the Athens Archdiocese and the Apostoli charity and the Serbian Embassy in Athens.
