Brnabic: Serbia absolutely, firmly committed to stability, progress in region

BELGRADE - Besides EU integration, regional connectivity and cooperation are among the top priorities of Serbia's foreign policy, Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic said at a session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Subcommittee on the Western Balkans, held in Belgrade on Thursday.

Djuric: Serbian exports to China worth 6.6 bln dollars

BELGRADE - Serbian FM Marko Djuric said on Thursday Serbia strongly supported China's Belt and Road initiative and noted that Serbian exports to China were worth 6.6 bln dollars a year.

Addressing a conference titled Dialogues On China, Djuric said Serbia maintained a neutral position and friendly relations with all countries.

Brnabic meets with Kasanof

BELGRADE - Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic met with US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for the Western Balkans Alexander Kasanof in Belgrade on Wednesday to discuss, among other topics, the possibility of establishing strategic dialogue between Serbia and the US and the significance of deepening the parliamentary cooperation with the US Congress.

Vucic: Novi Sad-Subotica high-speed rail line big thing for Serbia

NOVI SAD - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Thursday the construction of a Novi Sad-Subotica high-speed rail line section - to be inaugurated on November 24 - was a "big thing" for entire Serbia and that he expected Hungary to complete its stretch of a Belgrade-Budapest line in two years' time.

Tourist visits in Serbia up by 2.0 pct y-o-y in August

BELGRADE - Serbia registered 2.0 pct more tourist visits in August 2024 relative to the same month of last year and the number of overnight stays was down by 5.2 pct y-o-y, according to figures released by the national statistical office.

Overnight stays by Serbian tourists were down by 15.1 pct y-o-y, while those generated by foreign tourists were up by 10.6 pct y-o-y.
