Turkey's new seismic survey ship, MTA Oruç Reis, has become ready to enter service. 

State-run Anadolu Agency reported on June 28 that all required tests of the ship had been completed.

The MTA Oruç Reis ship will become Turkey's second national seismic survey at international standards, joing the Barbaros Hayrettin Paşa. 

Ahead of the May 16 White House meeting with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, U.S. senators and members of the House of Representatives reported to have written a letter to U.S. President Donald Trump, urging him to concentrate more on Turkey's appalling retreat from fundamental rights, which constitute the backbone of modern democracies.

Turkey has launched a process to hold a tender for a 1,000-megawatt (MW) capacity wind power plant at the end of July.

Details of the planned tender were revealed in the Official Gazette on April 13. 

The initial ceiling price was set at $7 per kWh and the electricity purchase date was designated as 15 years.

Ahmet Akif Albayrak is the son of the president's daughter Esra Albayrak and Energy Minister Berat Albayrak, who married in Istanbul in May 2016.
