Where will those expelled appeal?

One of the topics discussed at the cabinet meeting presided over by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was those who have been expelled from public work within the context of the fight against the Fethullahist Terror Organization (FETÖ). Interestingly, this topic was brought up by the president, who, as a matter of fact, was the very person whose hotel was raided by putschists trying to kill him. <

De facto system change in Turkey as PM leaves post

Following a meeting with President Tayyip Erdo?an on May 5 that lasted 1 hour 40 minutes, Prime Minister Ahmet Davuto?lu is taking the ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Parti) to an emergency congress on May 22, saying he will not put his name forward as a leadership candidate. 

In other words, Davuto?lu has not resigned but he is stepping down. 

Should relatives of politicians do business?

Republican People's Party (CHP) Istanbul deputy Aykut Erdo?du has claimed that names close to President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an have caused the Turkish state to lose $17.5 billion. As the Treasury's former chief inspector, Erdo?du had headed the CHP's "Corruption Investigation Department" during the last parliamentary term. He also holds a Certified Internal Auditor certificate. 

The unbearable lightness of candidacy
