Greek-German Documentaries | Athens | October 11-13
Marking 10 years of the Hellenic-German Future Fund, the German Embassy in Athens and the Goethe Institute (14-16 Omirou) will host a three-day documentary screening from October 11 to 13. The five films explore Greek-German relations, addressing themes like intergenerational trauma, the Holocaust and national identity.
Thessaloniki’s long-overdue Holocaust memorial park gets green light

Jewish community warns against ‘darkness of oblivion’ in Holocaust Day message

Berlin police probe Roger Waters over Nazi-style uniform
Berlin police said on May 26 they were investigating Pink Floyd co-founder Roger Waters for incitement to hatred after he donned a Nazi-style uniform at a concert in the German capital.
Images on social media showed Waters wearing a long, black coat with red armbands on stage at the Mercedes-Benz arena last week.

President Sakellaropoulou lays wreath at the Holocaust monument in Thissio
The President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou, on the occasion of the National Remembrance Day of the Greek Jewish Martyrs and Heroes of the Holocaust, on Friday laid a wreath at the Holocaust monument in Thissio, central Athens, honoring all those that died in Nazi concentration camps.
Parliament remembers the Holocaust
The Hellenic Parliament honored the memory of the victims of the Holocaust ahead of International Holocaust Remembrance Day on Thursday evening by displaying the slogan "We remember" on its facade with a photograph of prisoners in a Nazi concentration camp. January 27 marks the 78th anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau.

We Pay Tribute to the Victims of the Holocaust
Today, people around the world will commemorate and honor those who lost their lives by the Nazi machine during World War II. The UN General Assembly has chosen to declare the date on which the Auschwitz camp was liberated in 1945 as International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
