Delo welcomes favouring women at Venice Biennale 2022
Ljubljana – This year’s Venice Biennale, which will be held between 23 April and 27 November, will promote female artists, as more than 90% of works presented there will be created by women, the newspaper Delo says in Saturday’s front-page commentary. Since female artists remain largely marginalised this is a welcome move, the paper says.
Pavilion of Turkey to present ‘Architecture as Measure’ in Venezia
Curated by Neyran Turan and coordinated by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV), the Pavilion of Turkey will present "Architecture as Measure" at the 17th International Architecture Exhibition, La Biennale di Venezia, titled "How Will We Live Together?" and will take place from May 22 to Nov. 21, 2021.
Venice Film Festival will go ahead in September
The Venice Film Festival will go ahead as scheduled at the beginning of September, Luca Zaia, the governor of the region around the Italian city said on May 24 as the spread of the new coronavirus in the country slows.

Virus concerns bloom in entertainment sector
As the novel coronavirus continues to take its toll on lives and forces many countries to impose quarantines, many major events, such as the Venice Biennale and Coachella, have been postponed.
No big event in Turkey has been postponed yet, as it has one coronavirus-positive case confirmed so far.

Romania has a privileged place in terms of visibility at La Biennale di Venezia (Venice Biennale), Romanian Culture Minister Bogdan Gheorghiu said on Tuesday. "Here, I have two arguments. One would be the visitor inflow, which is a huge one. The 76th Venice International Film Festival is organised by La Biennale di Venezia, and will take place at Venice Lido from August 28th to September 7th, 2019. The Festival is officially recognised by the FIAPF (International Federation of Film Producers Association).
