VENICE - Serbia's Minister of Culture and Information Vladan Vukosavljevic on Thursday opened the Serbian pavilion at the 57th Venice Biennale.

It features the exhibition Enclavia - Painting, Consequence of This Kind of Life.

"ÇIN," a new work by Cevdet Erek, will be presented at the Pavilion of Turkey at the 57th International Art Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia to be held from May 13 to Nov. 26. 

Organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV), the Turkish pavilion is located at Sale d'Armi, Arsenale, in the main venue of the biennale. 

The famous Greek painter Dimitris Mitaras died on Thursday aged 83 after years of struggling with serious health problems that finally claimed his eyesight.

Thessaloniki Biennale of Contemporary Art won the second prize in an international conference on Cultural Tourism held in Portugal. The 9th international conference for Cultural Tourism in Europe took place in Guimaraes, on the theme ‘Intangible Heritage: Incomparable Asset for Sustainable and Responsible Tourism Development’.

The second Balkan Architectural Biennale was opened at the Museum of the Yugoslav Film Archive in Belgrade on Monday evening.

The 2015 Biennale, which runs under the exhibition theme Capital a until December 14, includes an exhibition of architectural projects and design and a scientific conference in the field of architectural theory and production.

Serbian Pavilion opens at Venice Biennale

VENICE -- Minister of Culture Ivan Tasovac on Thursday opened Serbia's Pavilion at the Venice Biennale, presenting Ivan Grubanov's "United Dead Nations" work.

Istanbul’s newly-opened culture and art space Uniq Istanbul will host an exhibition by Philippine artist Norge Reichenbach. Titled #PeaceandLove, the exhibition will open at Uniq Gallery on Nov. 13.
