The Nasdaq billboard is situated at the heart of New York's iconic Times Square.

The island of Skiathos is targeting even more European tourists with a new advertising campaign that showcases the western Aegean destination on large billboards at 45 central metro stations in London and Paris.

"We are aware of the concerns by media in Poland. We have seen the black screens. We expect member states to ensure that their fiscal or other policies will not affect the duty of ensuring a free, independent and diverse media ecosystem," a spokesman for the European Commission told a press conference on the same day.

Vandals in the seaside town of Varna on Wednesday destroyed a billboard featuring two men hugging in front of the Bulgarian parliament, with the caption: "Nothing to be afraid of. It's just love".

After green paint was splashed on it, it was later slit through with a sharp object, local media reported.

The official election campaign for the snap parliamentary elections started on Friday. It will continue until 24:00 hrs on March 24 after which all campaigning will be banned until the end of the election day on March 26.
There are 20 parties and coalitions which registered candidates lists. According to preliminary information, there are 4,732 candidates for parliamentary deputies.
