The First Storks that Landed in Bulgaria Remind us that Spring Coming
The first signs of spring are already here.
Since yesterday, in the Haskovo village of Podkrepa people enjoy the company a stork that landed on the nest at the local church.
"People in our village are believers, so here comes the first stork," explained Velichka Kireva.

Rooftop nest home to storks in Sivas for 35 years
Storks have flown back to their nest with the arrival of spring, after their nest was moved last year from the roof of a middle school to the roof of an elementary school in the central Anatolian province of Sivas. Due to safety reasons, the 35-year-old nest was carefully moved to its new spot with a crane.

Safet Khalid from the Village of Zaritsa Sheltered 5 Storks
Safet Khalid of the Silistra village of Zaritsa saved five storks last night from frost. Khalid released late last night on Facebook a photo of the birds he hosted at his home. He found them half stiff and with the help of friends he brought them to his home.
Today, Nezabravka Kirova-Hristova from the same village published a photo of Safet and the storks surviving in his home.

Wounded baby owl under protection
A long-eared baby owl that fell from its nest in the western province of Afyonkarahisar is undergoing a rehabilitation process. The owl, which sustained wounds to a wing and its feet, will be taken care of for up to three months before being released.

Stork Steals Bra, His Mate Leaves Him
A stork brought a bra to his nest in Simitli and his mate left him, reports the BGNES agency.
According to the report, the bra – large size, white and somewhat dirty, has been dangling from the nest since the spring, when the male stork brought it to repair the nest.
