Memphis-born rock-blues guitarist Eric Gales, hailed as a child prodigy and the successor to Jimi Hendrix and Albert King, is coming to Athens for the first time. During his show at the Stavros tou Notou club on Sunday, March 18, he will be promoting his latest release, "Middle of the Road," and performing older works.

Blues legend B.B. King dies at 89

Guitarist B.B. King, who took the blues from rural juke joints to the mainstream and influenced a generation of rock guitarists from Eric Clapton to Stevie Ray Vaughan, has died, the Los Angeles Times reported late on May 14. He was 89.

King, who will forever be linked with the Gibson guitars he named Lucille, died in Las Vegas, the newspaper quoted his attorney as saying.

His lawyers say Riley B King (as his full name was) died in his sleep, according to Fox News.

BB King has been a source of influence to a generation of musicians, selling millions of records worldwide.

Carvin Jones to perform in Belgrade Youth Centre on April 9

BELGRADE - Famous U.S. blues musician Carvin Jones will perform in Belgrade's Youth Centre on April 9 within his European tour to promote his latest album 'The Carvinator'.

Carvin Jones and his band appeared onstage at festivals throughout Europe and he also performed with famous musicians including Buddy Miles, Gary Moore, Eric Burdon and The Animals.
