BNT Will Broadcast Live the Opening Ceremony of 23rd Winter Olympics
The official opening ceremony of the 23rd Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea, which starts at 20:00 local time on 9th of February, will be broadcast live by BNT 1 and BNT HD and streamed at www.bnt.bg at 13:00 Bulgarian time.
BNT 1 and BNT HD will air a repeat of the event at 19:00.
The Bulgarian National Television Attracted only 1% of TV Advertising in 2017
BNT programs attracted only 1 per cent of TV advertising in 2017, according to data from the media agency. According to the survey, the total volume of television advertising in Bulgaria last year was 691 million euros. In fact, the amount is certainly significantly lower, as the measurement does not take account of concessions, barters and other agreements that televisions conclude.

Bulgaria's NURTS to Partner with Eutelsat to Broadcast BNT World in Europe
Bulgarian satellite services provider NURTS has concluded a partnership deal with Eutelsat Communications to help Bulgarian public television BNT broadcast its cultural and news channel to Europe.
Eutelsat will use the Eutelsat 7B satellite to broadcast BNT World over Europe, NURTS said in a statement on its website on Tuesday.
Bulgarian Man Gets 1-1/2 Year Jail Term in Hungary for Migrant Smuggling
Hungary has sentenced a Bulgarian national to a year and a half in jail for illegal traffic of migrants, the Sofia-based BNT TV channel reported on Tuesday, citing a Hungarian newspaper report.
The Bulgarian man, whose name was not disclosed, had reportedly attempted to smuggle nine Syrian refugees from Hungary into Germany by mini bus, according to BNT.
