Croatia's Ruling HDZ Calls for PM's Dismissal
Tomislav Karamarko, who also holds the position of vice prime minister, said on Tuesday that his HDZ party will initiate a motion of no confidence to oust Prime Minister Tihomir Oreskovic because it believes the government has become dysfunctional.
Karamarko said that his party was ready for new elections, but Croatia "does not have time for that".

Croatia Parliament Reconvenes Without New Govt
Croatian President Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic called the first session of the new parliament for Thursday despite the fact that no coalition has yet secured enough backing from MPs to form a government.
The first session will be run by the former chair of the parliament, Josip Leko, from the previous centre-left Social Democratic Party, SDP-led government.

Croatia's Leftists Seek Allies to Stay in Power
After Croatia's parliamentary elections resulted in no clear winner, the ruling centre-left coalition, Croatia Grows, is seeking to gather a majority in parliament to form a new government.
Croatia Grows, led by the governing Social Democratic Party, SDP, won 56 of the 151 seats in total. The minimum number of MPs needed to form a government is 76.

Croatian Experts Dismiss National Unity Govt
After becoming a pivotal party for forming the next Croatian government, the Bridge of Independent Lists, MOST, on Wednesday called for a government of national unity, including MOST, the governing centre-left and the opposition centre-right coalitions.
A political newcomer, MOST won 19 of the 151 seats in parliament in Sunday's parliamentary elections.
