Broadway shutdown extended
The shutdown on Broadway has been extended again — until at least early September.
Although an exact date for performances to resume has yet to be determined, Broadway producers are now offering refunds and exchanges for tickets purchased for shows through Sept. 6.

Broadway, doors closed and stages empty, fears an uncertain future
New York's celebrated Broadway theaters have been shuttered since March 12 and may well not reopen before September. The very real fear is that with no public funding to help them weather the crisis, some shows may never reopen.

The date was chosen in 1961 at a congress of the UNESCO International Theater Institute and is associated with the opening of the season of the Theater of Nations in Paris in 1962, ITI reported.

Turkish musical at Zorlu PSM
‘Fiddler on The Roof,’ based on the ‘Tevye and his Daughters’ tale written in the Yiddish language and one of the shows running on Broadway, will make its premiere at Zorlu PSM on Jan 2, 2018. The show will continue on Jan 3, 25 and 26.

Bruce Springsteen extends his Broadway concerts into Feb.
The Boss plans to stick around on Broadway - before he even gets started on Broadway.
Bruce Springsteen has said on his website that he'll extend his upcoming one-man show "Springsteen on Broadway" into early February, offering an extra 10 weeks of shows.
'Rent' musical in Turkey
The young Turkish musical group 'Journey to Broadway' will present the Pulitzer and Tony award-winning 'Rent' musical in Istanbul. The musical will be on stage on April 11, 12 and 13 at the Ataşehir Mustafa Saffet Culture Center, the Kozyatağı Culture Center and the Caddebostan Culture Center respectively.
