Novinite has asked Belgium's Ambassador to Bulgaria, H.E. Anick van Calster, to comment on how Brussels is recovering following the deadly attacks at the city's Zaventem airport and at a metro station that killed 32 people from around the world and left hundreds injured.

Mohamed Abrini, chief suspect in last year's November 13 terrorist attacks in Paris, has admitted that he is the third suicide bomber who was meant to blow himself up at the airport in Brussels during the March 22 attacks in the Belgian capital.

Paris attacks suspect Mohamed Abrini was arrested on April 8, a police source told AFP after a Belgian television station said he was detained in a Brussels district.

Italian police arrested an Algerian suspected of making documents for militants linked to the Brussels bombings and Belgian authorities charged a man connected with a French raid as the investigation into the attacks spread to other countries. 

A man has been arrested by police in Brussels in connection with recent terror attacks in the city, Belgian public broadcaster RTBF reported on Friday.

The suspect, carrying a backpack, was shot and wounded in Schaerbeek suburb of the Belgian capital after refusing to obey police orders. Blasts were also heard during the anti-terror operation.

The mystery over one of the assailants of the March 22 Brussels attack remains, as the Netherlands said that they were not properly informed of the bomber's terror links, while Turkey and the United States claim that they had previously notified relevant authorities. 

Police across Europe have launched operations against people allegedly linked to the Brussels attacks and a total of 12 suspects have been detained in Belgium, France and Germany. 

A major ant-terror raid was conducted by Belgian authorities in the region of Schaerbeek, Brussels.

Belgian media reports claim that at least three explosions were heard and that a man was “neutralized” by police during the raid, without mention though whether the person is dead or not.

Six people were arrested on March 24 in a series of police raids in Brussels, federal prosecutors said, two days after jihadist attacks in the Belgian capital left 31 dead.

Belgian police arrested six people in the Brussels suburb of Schaerbeek on Thursday as the manhunt for suspects in Tuesday's terrorist attacks targeting Zaventem airport and Maelbeek metro station continues.

It is still unclear whether the arrested people are connected to the attacks and their identities have not been revealed yet.
