Zimonjic/Peya through to Madrid doubles quarter-finals

MADRID - The Serbian-Austrian duo of Nenad Zimonjic and Alexander Peya is through to the men's doubles quarter-finals of the Madrid Masters tennis tournament after beating the Indian-French pair of Mahesh Bhupathi and Fabrice Martin 6-3, 4-6, 10-6 on Thursday.

The seventh-seeded duo will next face the Romanian-Dutch pair of Horia Tecau and Jean-Julien Rojer.

Bryan brothers oust Troicki and Paire from Barcelona men's doubles

BARCELONA - Serbian Viktor Troicki and Frenchman Benoit Paire were ousted from the men's doubles event at the ATP tournament in Barcelona by brothers Bob and Mike Bryan of the United States 6-2, 6-1 in a last 16 match on Monday.
    
It took the Americans a bit over 43 minutes to blitz past the Serbian-French combination.
    

Zimonjic and Matkovski in quarterfinals in men's doubles

INDIAN WELLS - Serbia's Nenad Zimonjic and Poland's Marcin Matkovski have reached the quarterfinals of the men's doubles tournament at the ATP Masters in Indian Wells.

The beat Tanasi Kokinakis of Australia and Andy Murray of the UK 6-1 6-4 on Tuesday.

Their next opponents will be Dominik Inglot of the UK and Romania's Florin Mergea.

Bryan brothers halt Zimonjic/Anderson

PARIS - Serbian Nenad Zimonjic and South African Kevin Anderson were defeated in the round of 16 of the Paris Masters' doubles competition by top seeded Americans Bob and Mike Bryan in straight sets 6-3, 6-2 late on Thursday.

The Bryan brothers, world No. 1 duo, will next face the Swiss-Indian pair Stanislas Wawrinka/Leander Paes for a spot in the semifinals.

Zimonjic, Anderson in Paris Masters eighth-finals

PARIS - Serbian tennis player Nenad Zimonjic and Kevin Anderson of South Africa reached the Paris Masters eighth-finals on Wednesday, after defeating Dominic Inglot (UK) and Florin Mergea (Romania) 6-3, 3-6, 12-10.

On their way to the quarter-finals, they will face the top seeds and title holders, Mike and Bob Bryan of the U.S., who skipped the first round.
