Slavi Trifonov: I Am Being Subjected to Censorship

TV show host Slavi Trifonov claims that he is being subjected to censorship due to the fact that his show on Monday evening was taken off air by bTV. Instead of last night's edition, the TV channel aired an older edition of the show. Earlier on Monday, the showman circulated an open letter to politicians reminding them of the referendum organised by him last year.

Bulgarian Businessman-Turned-Politician Admits go Giving Bribes

Varna-based businessman Veselin Mareshki has admitted to giving bribes in cases he "had no choice".

In an interview with bTV station, Mareshki, whose party Volya ("Will") is expected to enter Parliament in March 26's election, has said "political parties which governed in certain moments" asked him for bribes.

Main Rivals in Bulgaria's Election to Clash in Televised Debate

Boyko Borisov and Korneliya Ninova, who head the two biggest parties in the previous Parliament, have agreed to hold their first debate on Wednesday.

The clash will be aired live by the three biggest broadcasters - the BNT, bTV and NOVA - with each of the stations represented by one journalist who will ask questions.

''The National Programme for Energy Efficiency of Multi - family Residential Buildings has not been terminated. Today at the meeting of the Council of Ministers [government] we will vote for additional BGN 1B for 2017'', announced on BTV the outgoing Minister of Regional Development Lilyana Pavlova.

Opposition Candidate Dubs Himself 'Moral Winner' in Bulgaria's Presidential Vote

Socialist-backed candidate Rumen Radev has claimed the "moral victory" in the Bulgarian presidential elections while casting a ballot in the runoff on Sunday.

"Bulgarians should go to the polls today [Sunday] and congratulate themselves on a legitimately elected President, and this depends on all of us," he has argued after voting, as shown by bTV station.

Sofia Centre To Be Blocked for Trifonov Concert

The centre of the capital will be blocked from Friday night until Sunday morning because of the concert of Slavi Trifonov, scheduled for Saturday morning at Orlov most (Eagles Bridge).

Over 20 check points, 100 representatives of the organiser, 70 employees of Sofia Municipality and a sufficient number of policemen will guarantee the safety and security of citizens during the event.

US Ambassador: 'Ridiculous' for Bulgaria Not to Maintain Ties with Russia

The US-Russia dilemma of Bulgaria is a false one and Bulgarians should disbelieve anyone telling them they are facing this choice, US Ambassador Eric Rubin has argued.

It is a mistake to state that Bulgaria cannot have good relations with Russia if it has such ties with the EU and NATO of which it is a member, Rubin has said in an interview for private bTV broadcaster.
