MPs question fate of Karditsa artworks damaged in 2023 floods

Four Communist Party MPs have tabled a question in Parliament about the fate of "thousands" of works of artists from the city of Karditsa. 

The central Greek city's municipal gallery was flooded in the disastrous storms of September 2023. The basement, where the works were stored, was completely covered in mud.

A partial collapse of a seven-story building in Istanbul on June 27 exposed illegal construction practices, revealing that three of the building's floors were added without authorization.

Extension given for partial demolition of Athens hotel

The Council of State is giving state agencies a six-month extension regarding the demolition of the top two floors of the Coco-Mat hotel in the Makrigiannis area of Athens which have been declared illegal.
