1,850 Schools in Bulgaria Are in Flu Vacation in a total of 21 Bulgarian Regions

Twenty-one Bulgarian regions have been affected by this season's flu outbreak and 1,850 schools and two kindergartens have suspended classes, said the press office of the Ministry of Education and Science.
As of today, a flu epidemic has been declared in the regions of Vidin, Veliko Tarnovo, Vratsa, Plovdiv, Silistra and Sliven. Schools will be closed until 5 February.

1292 Schools throughout Bulgaria are Empty due to the Flu

The educational process in 13 districts of the country has been suspended. The cause is high morbidity, the Education Ministry announced.

1,292 schools remained empty.

In the districts of Blagoevgrad, Burgas, Varna, Gabrovo, Kardzhali, Montana, Pazardzhik, Pernik, Smolyan, Sofia-city, Sofia-region, Haskovo and Yambol, children will stay home.

Code Yellow Warning for Strong Winds in 8 Bulgarian Regions

A Code Yellow warning for strong winds has been issued for eight Bulgarian regions, the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH) said on its website. The warning is in place for the regions of Dobrich, Varna, Burgas, Shumen, Sliven, Yambol, Haskovo and Kardzhali. There will be a strong north wind with gusts up to 25 m/s.
