Bulgarian Champion Ludogorets Wins but Was Eliminated from CL

Ludogorets was very close to the Champions League groups despite the 0:2 defeat in the first leg.

The Bulgarian champion beat Swedish Malmö 2:1 in the return leg of the playoffs of the most prestigious club tournament, but was eliminated with total results of 2:3 after the 0: 2 defeat a week ago in Sweden.

Football Championship in Bulgaria to be Resumed on 5 June

The Bulgarian Football Union's expert working group has taken a decision to resume the first league championship on 5 June, and the training process - as of mid-May.

If the 2019/2020 season is completed, the finals of the Bulgarian Supercup are to take place on 22 July, and the start of season 2020/2021 is to be given on 25 July. 

Small Free Libraries will Appear in Several Locations Across the Country

In the yard of Vasil Levski Primary School in Razgrad today will be opened the first "Small Free Library". The initiative is by Calvin Page, an English language teacher in Los Angeles, California, and is being co-hosted with children from the Bulgarian Hristo Botev School in Washington and students from the Razgrad School.
 

Botev Plovdiv Grabs the Super Cup of Bulgaria After Penalties

Botev (Plovdiv) grabbed the Supercup of Bulgaria. "Canaries" overwhelmed Ludogorets after a penalty shoot-out of 6:5. At the regular time, the match played at the Lazur stadium in Burgas finished 1: 1.

After today's failure, almost certainly Georgi Dermendjiev will leave the post of senior coach of Ludogorets. 

Bulgaria's Ludogorets Facing Arsenal in London on Tuesday

Ludogorets Razgrad is to play another Champions League group stage game against Arsenal on the Emirates stadium in London.

The game is scheduled for 21:45 Bulgarian time (19:45 BST).

While Ludogorets is not expected to win, its coach Georgi Dermendzhiev says the Bulgarian team does not consider itself "doomed" well before the game has taken place.

Ludogorets, Basel Tied 1:1 in Champions League Group Game

Ludogorets Razgrad and Basel ended tied in a game of Champions League group stage in Switzerland on Tuesday.

Jonathan Cafú of Ludogorets was the first to score just before the halftime, with the Bulgarian club heading for a secure victory until Renato Steffen made another successful kick in 11 minutes before the game ended.
