More Than Two Times Less Migrants Detained This Week
More than two times less migrants were detained last week, showed Interior Ministry data. A total of 73 persons were detained in an attempt to enter or leave the country. They are without registration, so there is no information when they entered the country or this is their first attempt.
140 Afghani Citizens Extradited From Bulgaria
140 Afghani citizens have been extradited from Bulgaria, while the Afghani Embassy is preparing the passavants of another 200, reported PM Borisov to outgoing ministers on Wednesday.
Borisov also noted that migrant pressure along the Bulgarian-Turkish border has decreased thanks to the efforts made by the Turkish side.

Voters' Ignorance in Bulgaria's Kardzhali Raises Questions
Last-minute changes to election organization and ignorance of voters in the region are being observed in Karzhali, Southern Bulgaria, a TV report shows on Sunday, during the presidential runoff.
Some of those who went to the polls are heard saying they do not know what the election is about, but are aware of the square they have to tick on the ballot.

Bulgaria Getting Ready for Mass Refugee Influx
Interior Minister Rumyana Bachvarova has issued an order activating level 2 in terms of danger on the Bulgarian-Turkish border under the National Plan for Action in Emergency Situations.
The order was signed several days ago.
Level 2 means "the preparation of conditions if level 3 - the mass influx of refugees - occurs".

Bulgaria Not Planning to Build New Migrant Centers
Bulgarian Interior Minister Rumyana Bachvarova has said the government does not plan to set up new accommodation centers for migrants.
While on a visit to the border areas between Bulgaria and Turkey, she has voiced the cabinet's confidence the existing infrastructure will help address the current inflow of migrants.

Joint Bulgarian-Greek Units To Patrol Borders with Turkey
As of the end of September, joint Bulgarian-Greek units will patrol the Bulgarian-Greek and Bulgarian-Turkish borders against the illegal traffic of refugees. In the current situation, there are sections along the Bulgarian-Greek and Bulgarian-Turkish borders which are not secured physically and are being used for the trafficking of migrants.
Bulgaria t? Return Migrants to Turkey from June 1
Bulgaria will be able to send back migrants who have crossed its border with Turkey illegally from June 1, according to the protocol signed between Sofia and Ankara on Thursday.
The country is the first among EU member states to sign the protocol, which sets procedures for sending refugees back to Turkey.

Bulgaria's DPS Meets Turkish Opposition in Ankara
The leadership of Bulgaria's predominantly ethnic Turk DPS party met on Wednesday with opposition CHP while on a visit to Turkey, the party itself has announced.
Republican People's Party (CHP) chair Kemal Kilicdaroglu received Rushen Riza and Cetin Kazak, two of the three interim heads of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS) party, a message on the DPS website adds.

Two presumed migrants found dead near Bulgaria-Turkey border
A Bulgarian border police patrol on March 23 found the dead bodies of two men -- presumed to be migrants -- in a region close to the country's border with Turkey, authorities said.
